The MQ AIR program is realized together tranzit, Igor Zabel Association (IZA) and Kontakt Collection. Kontakt will collaborate with the Zagreb based WHW Akademija.

Exhibition in Yerevan; Minsk, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Kiev and Tbilisi will follow / at /


“The City of Tomorrow” considers the life and afterlife of the Soviet city, an urban system that was planned and built as a model for an altogether new society. The exhibition presents the evolution of Soviet modernist architectural heritage from its genesis in the 1920s and its revival from the late 1950s through the collapse of the Soviet Union, as well and this patrimony’s patchwork survival in the former republics of the Soviet empire today.

A refugee of the Vietnam War, her work examines the effects of Dis/placement and narratives in Diaspora. In an ever-evolving negotiation she calls this process the ‘Eternal detour of identity’.
